As a Designated Tourist District, Bloor-Yorkville is excited to host residents and visitors for another season of the Summer Music In The Park music series taking place throughout the summer in the Village of Yorkville Park, located at Bellair St. and Cumberland St. Stroll through the neighbourhood, have a seat and tap your feet to the smooth summer sounds.
Experience the power and beauty of 200 young voices in concert! Performing together with bebop legend Dr Barry Harris, big band, string section and adult choir. Empowering Youth Through Jazz, this dynamic mentorship program, run by it’s founder Howard Rees, touches more than 4000 lives each year. The children have been rehearsing under the expert guidance of Sophia Perlman and Melissa Lauren Hiltz. Start time is 7pm, but doors open at 6.15p with a slideshow of project photos by photographer extraordinaire: Alan Dunlop.
